In IVF, special drugs containing FSH hormones<\/strong> are used, which mimic the normal hormone produced by the pituitary gland. Their aim is to help the ovaries develop more follicles and, therefore, more eggs in a cycle.<\/p>

The treatment is adapted individually<\/strong> to each woman, depending on:<\/p>

  • the age,<\/p><\/li>

  • the hormonal profile,<\/p><\/li>

  • cycle history,<\/p><\/li>

  • and ovarian response.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    This determines the dosage<\/strong> and duration<\/strong> of the protocol.<\/p>

    Monitoring during treatment<\/strong><\/h3>

    Throughout the pharmacological stimulation, the patient is regularly monitored through:<\/p>

    • transvaginal ultrasound<\/strong>, to assess the size and number of follicles<\/p><\/li>

    • blood tests<\/strong> (mainly estradiol), to confirm safe and proper response to treatment<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      This way it is ensured that:<\/p>

      • the development of the follicles is controlled<\/strong>,<\/p><\/li>

      • possible adverse reactions are avoided,<\/p><\/li>
