Examination of the uterus and fallopian tubes is an essential part of the investigation of infertility. Through specific imaging tests, we can identify factors that may prevent natural conception or embryo implantation.<\/p>

Ultrasound Imaging of the Uterus<\/strong><\/h3>

Ultrasound assesses:<\/p>

  • the size and shape of the uterus,<\/p><\/li>

  • the texture of the myometrium,<\/p><\/li>

  • as well as the image of the endometrial cavity.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    This examination provides important information about the health of the reproductive system and can reveal fibroids, polyps, or anatomical peculiarities.<\/p>

    Hysterosalpingography (HSG)<\/strong><\/h3>

    Hysterosalpingography is the basic examination<\/strong> for evaluating the patency of the fallopian tubes<\/strong>.
    It also allows for more detailed visualization of the endometrial cavity.
    It is performed in the first half of the cycle<\/strong> (8th\u201312th day).<\/p>

    Saline Infusion Sonography (SIS)<\/strong><\/h3>

    The SIS technique enhances the ultrasound image by injecting saline<\/strong> into the endometrial cavity.
    This allows for more accurate visualization of:<\/p>

    • polyps,<\/p><\/li>

    • fibroids protruding into the lumen,<\/p><\/li>

    • and other structural abnormalities that may affect implantation.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy<\/strong><\/h3>

      In cases where a direct and detailed image<\/strong> of the endometrial cavity or fallopian tubes is required, endoscopic methods are applied such as:<\/p>

      • Hysteroscopy<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

      • Laparoscopy<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul>
