Natural cycle IVF is an approach that does not use ovarian stimulation drugs or uses them in minimal doses. Instead, it utilizes the egg that is naturally produced by the woman's body each cycle.<\/p>

When is it appropriate?<\/strong><\/h3>

This method is usually recommended in cases where:<\/p>

  • The ovaries do not respond satisfactorily<\/strong> to stimulation drugs, so they do not produce multiple eggs.<\/p><\/li>

  • High levels of estradiol should be avoided, such as in women with a history of breast cancer or other conditions where increased estrogen is not desirable.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    In a natural cycle, the body develops one follicle<\/strong> each month. Therefore, the process relies on the natural function of the ovaries<\/strong>, without pharmaceutical intervention to produce multiple eggs.<\/p>

    What is the process?<\/strong><\/h3>

    1. Follicle monitoring<\/strong>
      We closely monitor the development of the follicle with ultrasound and blood tests.<\/p><\/li>

    2. Oocyte retrieval<\/strong>
      When the egg reaches the appropriate maturity, oocyte retrieval is performed.
      The egg is collected without prior pharmaceutical stimulation.<\/p><\/li>

    3. In vitro fertilization<\/strong>
      The egg is fertilized with the sperm of the husband or partner, just like in a classic IVF cycle.<\/p><\/li>

    4. Embryo transfer<\/strong>
      The resulting embryo is transferred to the uterus, following the same embryo transfer procedure that is applied in treatment with a pharmaceutical protocol.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>
